IA's turning FIVE!
2017 is Immortal Ascension's fifth birthday!
So... with Immortal Ascension about to turn FIVE!
I (Faythe) raised the idea of a Meet-Up to our Council and the level of excitement rose to fever pitch! Here's the sorta-plan [thus far].
We knew we needed to set dates with enough time for families to work out leave applications, plan and undertake travel with kids in tow! So we were aiming for a weekend in the late winter, spring period, which would give everyone a good chance to apply for Annual Leave and arrange travel and accommodation.
If you have not received an invitation to the Facebook Event Page, please send Emrald, Faythe, Ridgerock, Silentkillër or Wrighty an in-game mail with your email or mobile phone number - so we can include you. Or, if you're friends with one of these event co-hosts, get them to send you a Facebook invite to the event …
The place?
It was pretty much confirmed that MELBOURNE is the destination.
At first, we will be holding something like an IA Party in the Park - for families. We will try to be creative with how to manage the picnic/BBQ and the footy. It's a bring the whole family for the day-time.Melbourne has lots of great things to see and do for families - so it will be a great holiday destination!
Then, for those who chase the sun into the evening - heading off to a pub for some live entertainment?

The date?
Saturday 30 September was initially suggested, is the ONLY weekend that is in common with all state and territory spring school holidays! Thank you to Queensland, who decided that the 16th of September was a good time to have their holidays start! However, this is also the date for the AFL Grand Final! However, no other viable dates have been suggested. So...
Saturday 30 September 2017 - is THE date!
This will be on the same day as the AFL Grand Final - we will have to be creative with how to combine the two - for all those Footy fans among us! If there is still to be discussion on alternative dates please discuss them in our various chat forums: here on our Website, on Disord, or on Facebook.

How about all staying in the same place? We'd be using our camping trailer - so a caravan park might be the way to go. With cabins, on-site vans and BYO accom. This would make it more affordable? What do you think? Addy mentioned last night, that with met-ups with Perpetual Fury were much better - when people all stayed in the same place (or at least close-by).
After doing a lot of Canberra to Melbourne trips with family - we often stayed at Crystal Brook Caravan Park in Doncaster East.Have a look at: https://www.cbtp.com.au/
There is a Facebook discussion happening - for those who aren't on FaceBook...
Ridgerock: Sounds like a good idea. Plus you dont have to worry about curfews, imposing on family/friends. Plus non natives dont have to navigate all that much to meet up
